A slightly longer summary, presented to a meeting of the UK Foresight
Cognitive Systems project on 14th May 2003:

On Wednesday 14th May 2003 I gave a presentation on this
proposal to a UK Foresight Cognitive Systems workshop on grand
challenges. Comments welcome.
The sections on brain modelling need more input from neuroscientists,
and many other sections still require expansion.
- A short note on Rapidly Changing Neural Connectivity
written 25 Jun 2003, discussing potential significance for
mechanisms under-pinning human intelligence.

Draft summary of ideas from Panel D:
Architecture of brain and mind: How to make a human-like robot.
I wrote these notes in a hurry shortly after the meeting. They do not
commit other members of the panel to anything, and are merely my
attempt to summarise the outcome of our discussion. The notes are
inevitably vague and incomplete in places.

Some draft notes on how to provide "metrics" for progress on this sort
of project, based on fairly precise qualitative criteria for
progress can be found here

This arose out of discussions of the DARPA Cognitive Systems Initiative
in the USA.
